This position is to help ENS solve challenges related to the demand for new compute and networking technologies and the deployment of non-standard infrastructure (NSI) in our data centers. This position will work at both strategic and tactical levels with Planning, Network Engineering, Data Center Connectivity, Facility Engineering/Operations, SiteOps and other cross-functional teams to deploy and operate new technologies and non-standard infrastructure into the fleet. The primary objectives are to represent ENS in related projects, understand and communicate technical requirements, help develop the engineering design packages (EDP) and operational playbooks for how IDC, cross-functional partners, and vendors deploy and operate this infrastructure, and lead successful network delivery execution across sites.

  • Participate in the design, engineering and implementation of large-scale HPC networks used for AI and ML
  • Integrate new networking technologies and non-standard infrastructure to evolve and scale our data centers
  • Lead projects and develop engineering design packages (EDPs) for standardized deployment across locations
  • Develop new operational support models for deploying and operating new data center infrastructure
  • Actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for new network platforms and topologies
  • Influence design of data center, network, server, and applications to ensure seamless integration
  • Publish technical reference, process, and training documentation for a global network operations team
  • Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors
  • Up to 15-20% of travel required based on project demand

  • 7+ years of work experience with designing and deploying large-scale data center network infrastructure
  • Experience with data center pod design, structured cabling, and fiber optic network infrastructure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NICs, optical transceivers, AOC, and DAC for high-speed interconnects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, Routing Protocols, and related network services (DHCP, DNS)
  • Experience with implementing tooling and automation for network configuration and monitoring
  • Track record of solving complex problems, executing tactically, and delivering on infrastructure projects
  • Experience working independently, staying organized, multitasking, prioritizing, and communicating effectively

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with network architectures used for high-bandwidth, low-latency applications (HPC, SAN)
  • Experience developing new network solutions and managing through New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Experience leading and contributing to large cross-functional projects in a global environment
  • Experience working on a global team in a matrixed environment with limited supervision
