The successful candidate will work with lead licensed structural engineers and other experienced designers to create structural design solutions our client's manufacturing, distribution, industrial and commercial facilities.Responsibilities:- Develop structural design solutions.
- Work to understand the scope and requirements of each assignment to assure deliverables exceed expectations.
- Drive team performance by efficient, excellent personal work and by candid, constructive feedback to the team.
- Strive for continued learning and growth.
- Field work including structural as-builts, condition assessments, construction technical support and interaction with Client's personnel.
- 1 - 2 years' experience as a Structural Designer.
- 1 - 2 years' experience working in a production engineering/design environment
- Familiar with 3-D design software packages.
- Experience taking design concepts for foundations and structures and providing detailed designs.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with repair/remediation projects.
- Proficiency with Revit
- Experience using building codes.
- Must be able to work independently but be a key contributor to team projects.
- Comfortable client interface.
- Ability to complete field work, including climbing stairs, ladders, and equipment/structures of varying heights.
- Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.
- BS Civil Engineering (with emphasis on structures) or MS Structural Engineering preferred from an accredited university
- EIT certification preferred
