Duration: 6 months with possible extension Location: Downtown Fort Worth; 777 Main St Target Start: ASAP Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days a week in the office; 2 weeks at home. Typically: Monday - Friday, 8hr workday.

• I'm particularly interested in finding a resource that has prior experience/knowledge associated with typical drafting responsibilities at an electric utility (e.g., creation of transmission line alignment sheets).

JOB SUMMARY Drafting for final products of - electrical one-lines and schematics, physical vault room layout, plan and profile drawings for city, TxDOT & NTTA permits. This function would require understanding some basics about the material / products the candidate is drafting. Maintaining drafting standards and revision control This position is accountable for utilizing images generated with MicroStation and Paint Shop Pro, from preliminary layouts, notes, diagrams, verbal instructions and/or other data, as well as creating PowerPoint exhibits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will: • Provide timely creation of Transmission Standard Drawings required to implement engineering designs.• Use Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) tools including Microstation, IRAS-B, PROJECTWISE, IPLOT, and other software developed or acquired to automate the drawing creation process. • Leverage PLS-CADD to create and revise high voltage transmission line plan and profile drawings. • Create PowerPoint exhibits utilizing images generated with MicroStation and Paint Shop Pro.• Create hybrid vector/raster aerial maps, location maps, & topographic maps.• Prepare electrical schematic and wiring diagrams and electrical physical drawings.• Prepare structural plans, details and shop drawings as needed to support structural design.• Prepare mechanical or electromechanical equipment drawings with geometric dimensioning as defined by ANSI.• Develop plan and profile drawings, relief maps, and other civil drawings using engineer or field surveyor notes.• Convert existing drawings to electronic format by efficient use of scanning and hybrid raster/vector technology.• Update engineering drawings of record as defined by project, construction, or engineers to reflect as-built status.• Develop, update or modify CADD cell libraries, menus, reference files, plotter pen tables, programs as needed to improve drawing creation efficiency.• Support the drawing and drawing project control functions as needed.• Background in Mapping would be a plus KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Qualifications sought in successful candidates include the following: • An Associate Degree in CADD related curriculum• Minimum 2 years of experience using CADD software, including ProjectWise and MicroStation • Experience with PLS-CADD • Electric utility drafting experience • Knowledge of high voltage transmission line design practices • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage assignments under time constraints.• Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to changes in direction and priorities.• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.• Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees, including management.• Ability to work discretely with highly confidential information.• Dependable, trustworthy, and responsible.• Strong computer skills including MicroStation, Microsoft Office, Paint Shop Pro (or Photoshop). Preferred Experience:• MicroStation (candidates will more than likely not have this experience, which is okay. This is what Oncor uses)• PLS-CADD• Mapping• Google Earth• Microsoft Office Products • Utility • Substation Drafting (Equipment Plans & Elevations, Physical Layouts, Electrical, Wiring & Schematics, As-Builts)• Transmission Line Drafting (Plan & Profiles for Transmission Lines)• R.O.W. (Property Owners, Easement, Encroachments, etc.) SKILLS PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:• Occasional overtime.• Use of a PC, computer terminal and/or telephone over 6 hours a day.• Frequently works under pressure.• Open work-space office environment.
