- This position is for a System Administrator. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, problem solver, and have experience leading Server Design, Operating Systems Software Deployment, Server Management, Clustered Systems, Storage Management, Scripting, Active Directory, and SAN/NAS Storage Systems in a highly available mission critical environment.
- The candidate should possess the ability to work closely with Operations department and scheduled personnel. Must be willing to effectively work in a team environment.
- The environment supports safety critical applications and will require working irregular shifts and provide on call coverage in a 24/7 environment.
- Perform regular maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems (RHEL), specifically RHEL7.
- Manage and maintain Red Hat Satellite Server 6.
- Manage and maintain Red Hat MRG
- Integrate RHEL platform with existing Windows Based applications and management infrastructure.
- Support the development and deployment of new applications as needed in RedHat Enterprise Linux.
- Familiarity with Kickstart installations and large scale server provisioning with Satellite 6.
- Scripting development and implementation with Bash, PERL, and/or other scripting languages to drive task automation and administration.
- Familiarity and expertise with software development in Python, Ruby, and other languages.
- Expertise with Linux security using SElinux, firewalld and file permissions/ACLs.
- Familiarity with postgres, mariadb, mongodb and Oracle.
- Familiarity with the installation and configuration of JBoss.
- Familiarity with the installation and configuration of Zabbix
- Expertise with kvm based virtualization and familiarity with RHEV
- Systems and software management through puppet via Satellite and Chef.
- Deep familiarity with CloudForms, implementation, provisioning and configuration deployment.
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Manage and Maintain large number of Windows/RedHat servers.
- Familiarity with Apache and TomCat webserver administration.
- Support the deployment of new systems, maintaining, upgrading, replacing and improving long-term performance of the systems.
- Setup or implement monitoring processes and/or tools and report on server and application performance.
- Manage the deployment of Operating System patches, drivers and firmware.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
- Design, layout, allocation, and implementation of SAN/NAS based storage to virtual and physical infrastructure
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Administer and maintain off site facilities as needed.
- Ability to produce quick fixes, as well as formulate long term solutions to problems.
- Maintain and manage VMWare environments.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology related discipline and/or at least 4-5 years of related experience in Information Technology for critical Enterprise infrastructures.
- Strong leadership communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
- 5 – 7 years of experience in developing and implementing large scale, complex, highly available Infrastructure architecture support critical business applications.
- 3 years of experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi) and vCenter.
- 3 years of experience with SAN and NAS Storage.
- 3 years of experience with Monitoring Tools.
- 3 Years of experience administering Windows Server and/or Red Hat Linux.
- RHCE or RHCSA preferred.
- Availability for 24X7 on call support.
