Senior F5 Engineer to support our client located in the

Fort Worth, TX.

Title: Senior F5 Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration/Type of Job: 6 Months - CTH

Job Description:Design, build, and manage the security infrastructure of information technology (IT) systems. Installing hardware, configuration, adding upgrades, providing LTM and ATM modules Subject Matter expertise. Engage with clients, relaying information about the project and troubleshooting all issues discovered. Proficient in change management and disaster response, and actively apply policies and standards to all projects. Work closely with network and security teams. Perform maintenance at unobtrusive times or resolve critical issues.

Typical Duties:
  • Review client requirements for security systems and collaborate with other engineers and developers to decide on an overall technical approach.
  • Assess the existing environment
    • BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
    • BIG-IP DNS
    • BIG-IP Advanced Firewall Manager (AFM)
    • BIG-IQ VE
    • Access Policy Manager
    • Advanced WAF
  • F5 HA pair next generation best practice assessment of current F5 deployment.
  • Provide design of future state as needed.
  • Provide implementation of the new design.
  • Support the ongoing operation of the existing F5 environment.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of previous experience in computer networking, especially with F5 technologies.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • F5 Load Balancer experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • F5 Load Balancer Certification.
