DescriptionRobert Half Technology is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in DFW. This Senior Systems Engineer is a direct hire, FTE (Full Time Employment) position with one of our client?s in DFW.For immediate and confidential consideration, please email mitch.hagen@rht.com or message https://www.linkedin.com/in/hagenmitch/.-Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies related to cloud services and Office 365. Microsoft products include SQL 2008, 2016 Administration; SharePoint using cloud or in-house; Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019; as well as Microsoft Office 365 Professional and E3 (GPO).-Maintains and manages 500 servers in a single forest / domain environment using 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2016.-Initiates server upgrades and migrations, as it relates to multiple entities.-Exercises independent discretion and judgement when troubleshooting or responding to questions regarding hardware, software, configuration and operational issues.
Maintains solid understanding of enterprise environments including VMware virtualization.
-Monitors the stability of all environments/services including product performance and infrastructure utilization.-Applies basic networking experience working with firewalls, VLAN, TCP/UDP, and ports.-Analyzes and applies patches, hot fixes, complete upgrades, and product enhancements for any automation tooling.-Manages all backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes and procedures.RequirementsEducation Experience:-Five or more years? experience and detailed knowledge, understanding, and experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, VDI, network storage and Virtualization VMware.-Experience working with server upgrades and migrations from 2008.
