Overview

The SharePoint Intranet Specialist II is responsible for providing analysis and second-tier support for the business areas assigned to them. The position involves, but is not limited to, the analysis, design of medium to large-scale SharePoint projects, product support and coordination with team members on project development. This position involves moderate coordination with other departments, business partners and outside vendors in order to provide customer support. Opportunity to work in a hybrid model: Potential to work 4 days remote and 1 day onsite.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Gather customer requirements to provide innovative solutions and recommend system, product and process enhancements with limited guidance by Senior SharePoint Analysts
  • Provide application first-tier and second-tier support for issue resolution
  • Provide coordination of software interfaces between supported business applications with program development teams
  • Work closely with internal business units to facilitate project completion
  • Provide functional specifications and documentation for business solutions
  • Design and create production and ad hoc reports
  • Perform project planning, coordination and management on multiple projects
  • Interface with software vendors and suppliers in support of business application software packages
  • Provide direction to and mentor team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
  • Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations
  • Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Operations

Skills

  • Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels
  • Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good computer skills and conversance in information technology issues
  • Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment

Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Promote a cooperative and productive team environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing applications systems required
  • 2-3 years Experience in implementing, configuring, customizing, upgrading and administering and troubleshooting SharePoint required

Licenses

  • SharePoint Certifications preferred
  • Client Side Web Development Certifications

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid: 1 day onsite and 4 days remote
  • Normal office environment subject to stressful situations
  • Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be required
  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
