Job Title: Software Engineer - Dot Net (Hybrid Role - 2 days Onsite)An excellent Direct Hire position with our direct client in Fort worth, TXSalary Range: $120k Per Annum to $140k PA . The position comes with a 7% performance based bonus. This is a Full Stack position.

Skills/Qualifications

Work Experience
  • 4-8 years’ experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Required – Extensive experience with web-based technologies and Windows OS
  • Required – Solid knowledge of programming languages in all 3 tiers (UI, API, DBMS)
  • Required – Solid knowledge of SQL
  • Required – Solid knowledge of Git and Visual Studio IDE
  • Required – Knowledge of DevOps tools and mindset
  • Required – Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
  • Required – Experience with REST and SOAP services
  • Required – Ability to work alongside others and be a team player
  • Required – Up to date with latest programming trends, techniques and technologies
  • Preferred – Knowledge of 2 or more core First Command business processes
  • Preferred – Application of SOLID design principles within solutions
  • Preferred – Test Driven Development Experience
  • Preferred – Ability to lead a team’s efforts and direction
  • Preferred – Visio or comparable drawing tool

What Will You Be Doing
  • Works alongside the architect and consultant roles to translate the vision and design into executable pieces of work
  • Participates in all phases of development
  • Adheres and evangelizes First Command coding and design standards/best practices
  • Communicate and work alongside members of their team in support of their day-to-day work items
  • Works with business partners to ensure alignment between the ask and the output
  • Performs peer reviews and sign-off for other team member’s work to ensure adherence to defined development standards
  • Key player and leader in an Agile environment, participating in daily huddles, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Attends Agile team and development group meetings
  • Continued education to learn additional technologies, programming languages, industry best practices and tools that are needed within First Command
  • Continued education of First Command business processes by engaging business partners
  • Mentors junior team members in best practices and standards
  • Serve as an escalation point for junior team members on technical issues
  • Preparation and execution of test plans (unit, integration and functional)
  • Responsible for performing business and technical knowledge transfer with their peers

Education
  • Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree
