Overview
The Senior Business Analyst will work to measure and refine the company's marketing products for both customers and dealers. Under minimal supervision of their direct manager, the analyst will create and monitor key business metrics providing insight for the creation and execution of digital, marketing and brand initiatives as well as perform adhoc analysis and research. They will need to work cross-functionally with all departments to gather data, interpret information and report across disparate systems and tools to provide a clear picture on where the company stands and identify areas for improvement Responsibilities JOB DUTIES- Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate business objectives, define project objectives and develop project plans for implementation and operation of cross channel analytics
- Deliver analysis, insights, and recommendations to support enhancements of GM Financial consumer acquisition programs, media effectives and the effectiveness of outbound channels such as social media and email marketing
- Work with various internal owners and third parties (eMarketer, Forrester, Gartner, etc) to research, understand and educate our team around trends in data and marketing mediums we need to explore and optimize
- Create, maintain, and propagate custom and recurring analytics reports delivering insights on user behavior, site performance, new feature success, and testing, etc
- Ensure integration across various company and agency functions
- Provide direction, training and guidance to less experienced Business Analysts
- Conduct ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis; summarizing findings and presenting results
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Conform with all company policies and procedures
- Advanced knowledge data analysis, modeling and forecasting techniques
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced understanding of data analysis and spreadsheet modeling
- Advanced understanding of data warehouses, data mining, and data analysis techniques
- Advanced understanding with technical systems and rational datasets
- In-depth understanding of statistical analysis and statistical software packages (eg, SAS, STATA, SPSS, R, etc)
- Knowledge of applied methodologies including least squares regression, logistic regression, sampling methodologies, time series, survival analysis, cluster analysis, categorical data analysis, multivariate methodologies, non-parametric techniques, principal components, linear programming techniques
- Knowledge of statistical learning techniques including decision trees, bagging, boosting and support vector machines
- Ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries and deliver business insights
- Ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to various technical and business issues
- Ability to translate broad marketing goals into technical/analytical applications
- Ability to work with internal and external vendors
- Advanced quantitative skills and ability to apply complex financial and statistical principles

- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
- Master's Degree preferred

- Limited travel may be required to support business needs
- Must be able to deal with stressful office conditions while troubleshooting problems
- Fast-paced office environment
