Our client, is looking for an Operations Research Specialist. As an operations research specialist you will be responsible for finding solutions to some of the many challenging problems facing the company. This is a 1 year contract to hire Responsibilities
- Being able to assist Operations Research team with optimization model development, testing, and implementation
- Develop software for decision support tools to help solve business problems
- Collaborate with members of Technology Services teams (OR and Development) on solution design and bug fixes
- Keeping current with the advances in analytical techniques, including open-source libraries
- Working with end-users to validate and enhance the tools
- Extracting and cleaning large volumes of data to derive insights that can be used for process improvements
- Programming skills in object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, C, or Vb.Net
- Experience in commercial solver software, such as CPLEX, FICO, Gurobi, ProMod or Anylogic or Frontline Solver
- Ability to manipulate and extract information from very large, complex data sets
- Ability to identify underlying problems and appropriate techniques for solving them
- Up to $50-55/hr DOE
