JOB DESCRIPTION The IT Support Specialist is an hourly, non-exempt position that can be located onsite in either our Waco or Fort Worth office. The role will be supporting our IT Director along with our wonderful team of attorneys and staff across our 4 offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide prompt, friendly day-to-day operational support for end users, clients, and other team members via on-site/desk-side visits, remote connections, and phone calls.
  • Work independently and in coordination with outside technology vendors to troubleshoot and resolve all issues while keeping IT Director and other management informed of important or persistent technological problems when needed.
  • Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop PCs, laptops, phones, and software applications including e-mail, document management, printing, time and billing, and remote access.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, shared resources, and permissions within all systems while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
  • Actively engage in all efforts to maintain, sustain, and improve the Firm’s technological platforms and ensure that all methodologies, best practices, and procedures are carried out across the organization.
  • Work with IT Director to develop and deploy quality end-user training and educational resources and materials.
  • Properly track all support requests while evaluating the overall IT infrastructure to make recommendations on processes, procedures, security, applications, or other thoughts or concerns.
  • Properly document all internal processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and adequate knowledge transfer within the IT support services group.
  • Travel to other offices as needed for support, on-boarding of new hires, training, troubleshooting, and other projects or needs.
  • Continue learning and advancing personal knowledge base to better understand the firm’s front and back-end IT components and applications.
  • Utilize broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex IT issues.
  • Uphold a willingness to be “hands-on” and take on all other responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or another related field, OR equivalent work experience.
  • Two years of previous experience providing technology support in a professional office environment strongly desired.
  • Technical background in providing support for Microsoft Office, Windows, Adobe, Citrix, and networked printers, scanners, and other hardware peripherals.
  • Travel to the other offices within the firm on a semi-regular basis with reimbursement provided at the federal rate.
