Agile Premier has a Dallas/Fort Worth based client that is seeking to hire a
Big Data Developer/Data Engineer to help manage a real-time system that processes multi-million queries per second. This person will be part of a team that is responsible for moving and transforming massive data into valuable and insightful information. You will work very closely with all aspects of operational data. We are looking for Data Engineers with Software Engineering capabilities to build the next generation of data tools that will enable full advantage of this data. This position can be fully remote. Requirements- Building and supporting applications in a Linux environment
- Experience in Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
- Ruby or Python development experience.
- Familiarity with column-oriented Big Data systems (Vertica or Cassandra)
- Profiling and tuning SQL
- Familiarity with the JVM.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights.
