Job DescriptionBranch Banking Specialist Teller - New AccountsGENERAL SUMMARY:To sell and service a variety of bank products and process various teller transactions for new and existing customers in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Complete in-house prepared documents related to personal and commercial deposit products as well as and non-real estate consumer loans. Provide assistance to both loan and deposit operations officers to ensure completion of services to customers. Responsible for maintaining the Bank-s deposit customer files in an orderly, accurate and complete manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provide financial assistance to current and prospective customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Sell and cross-sell bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer-s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products.

Process various teller transactions, including but not limited to:

Deposits / withdrawals

issue and cash negotiable instruments

cash advances

cashiers- checks

stop payments

place appropriate hold on deposits when necessary

redeem savings bonds

daily teller balancing /assist in balancing vault currency

Prepare the needed documentation required for customers to open and maintain various bank products, including, but not limited to all checking and savings accounts (i.e. personal and commercial), IRAs, Health Savings Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, ATM / Check cards, and Safe Deposit Boxes. Ensure that customer receives and understands all copies of documents relating to his/her account.

Counsel customers on the merits of the various products offered by the Bank to assist them in achieving their financial goals.

Assist loan customers with accurate completion of loan application.

Obtain credit reports and prepare needed documentation for all consumer loan products produced in-house.

Close and fund loan transactions.

Assist customer with making loan payments and inquiries.

Prepare Notice of Action Taken as needed and ensure delivery to Loan Administration and customer.

Assist walk-in customers and answer telephone inquiries regarding deposit and loan requests.

RequirementsThe qualified individual should have excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and should be self-motivated and show initiative.The preferred candidate will have 2-5 years of similar experience and a strong knowledge of banking products and regulations.Although a basic schedule will be set, this individual must be flexible and willing to work assigned schedule changes.

Assist other departments as needed.

Assist customers in resolving deposit account / loan problems.

Serve as notary public for customers as needed.

Attend and/or participate in all required annual compliance training and perform job duties within compliance standards. Examples include, but will not be limited to: BSA, Privacy, Information Resources, Security and various departmental specific training.

Serve as a branch team member by participating in activities that may include, but may not be limited to: opening/closing responsibilities; vault assistance for dual control; post office runs; maintaining office supplies; maintaining orderly and professional lobby appearance; and assisting other departments/co-workers as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours are Monday - Friday varying anywhere from 7:30 AM - 5:30 pm Mon - Wed and until 6:00 pm on Thurs and Fri. The shifts rotate so that no individual is the one always opening or closing.Educational background requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.HighlightsKelly Temporary Employee Perks:
