Systems Support Specialist - Frisco, TX

BravoTECH, a leader in IT staffing and staff augmentation services, seeks a Systems Support Specialist for our preferred client in their Frisco, TX location.

Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software.
  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Test and install hardware and software updates and service packs.
  • Coordinates with Information Technology Team Members as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from customers.
  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, application servers, proprietary applications and administrative systems.
  • Trains Team members on use of all hardware and software.
  • Maintain inventory controls for hardware, software and supplies.
  • Participate in special projects such as office computer and equipment moves.
  • Configure new users in various applications and environments.
  • Willing to travel.

EDUCATION:
  • College degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, preferable.
  • MCP, MCSA a plus

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting Windows 10, understanding of Office 365 and Microsoft Office 2010-2016
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing parts as needed on desktop and laptop PCs.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network, software and printing issues.
  • Ability to support and maintain the following applications, hardware or technologies:
    • Microsoft Office - 2010+
    • Antivirus
    • VPN
    • Backup Solutions
    • Active Directory
    • DOS Applications
    • Mobile Devices
    • VoIP
    • Copiers, Printers and Fax machines

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to supervisors, and Team Members.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40lbs. objects.
  • Ability to work in small spaces such as under desks or within server racks.
