- Analyze existing database structures for migration to Cloud
- Recommend opportunities for improvements for the existing data models and their usage
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
- Create or update conceptual, logical, and physical data models using best practices and according to company standards
- Minimum of 6+ years total IT experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working primarily in the role of a logical and physical data modeler on application development projects in an OLTP database environment.
- Excellent understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, and de-normalization, and dimensional modeling concepts
- In-depth knowledge of at least one RDBMS (preferably Oracle and/or PostGreSQL), including strong SQL knowledge
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience with modeling tools like PowerDesigner/ERWIN
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Toad, PLSQL Developer or other common data analysis, exploration, migration, and reporting tools
- Experience implementing physical data models in a database (preferably PostGre SQL)
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
