Accounts Payable Clerk

DescriptionAccountemps has a current opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounting Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing electrical Company. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Garland, Texas area and will be a temporary to hire position. Further career growth and quick advancement is possible in this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities will include resolving A/P issues, processing expense invoices, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.Responsibilities:

Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing & sorting documents in our integrated document management system.

Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documents and processing corrections and/or adjustments.

Understanding of Texas and Oklahoma Sales & Use Tax rules and guidelines that are utilized on a daily basis when entering invoices.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing required task results and later suggesting possible process improvements.

1-3 years of Accounts Payable Entry Experience

Electrical industry experience is required

Preferred knowledge of Microsoft GP Dynamics Accounts Payable software and experience with

Be able to enter between 100 - 200 invoices correctly & accurately on a daily basis

Knowledgeable of Excel, Word, Outlook programs

Vendor Statement reviewing daily, weekly, monthly

Proven attention to detail, data entry skills, quick thinker, quick learner

Strong organizational skills, information analyzation and reporting research abilities

Must work well with others in AP Team, be open to various personalities, work processes, etc.
