DescriptionYou could be the Accounts Payable Clerk this successful Mining - Iron ore company is looking for, if you're a detail-oriented individual. This position could take your career to the next level. Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerks who can match, batch and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks will be interested in this position with a dynamic organization with a growing team. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a full-time position based in the Garland, Texas area.Major responsibilities
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Help with internal and external audits as required
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Requirements
3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Account reconciliation experience desired
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
