Corporate Video: http://www.mapei.com/US-EN/corporate-video.aspCompany Profile: http://www.mapei.com/public/US/menu/MAPEICompanyProfileEN.pdfThe HR Generalist (Bilingual) will report to the Human Resource Manager supporting the Garland Texas Plant by administrating and coordinating human resources programs which include but are not limited to employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, training, and Workers Compensation. The HR Generalist will serve as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and procedures and helping to resolve work-related problems. Biligual is English and Spanish will be a plus but not required.

Build and maintain close working relationships with all plant personnel; be available to assist and support the team on in all areas of HR

Administer New Hire Orientation Program to engage new employees and assimilate them into the Company.

Work closely with the management team to assist with and ensure Supervisors’ implement and document department-specific orientation and job specific training within stated deadlines.

Maintain training records.

Collaborate with Human Resources manager and local management in appropriate resolution of plant level employee relations issues

Coordinates internal and external training requirements for the plant employees

Assists and supplies employees with information regarding Benefit Programs

Serves as liaison to the Corporate Payroll Manager

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required.

Minimum of 2 years human resource generalist experience is preferred.

Experience within a Manufacturing or Retail environment required.

Training experience is preferred.

Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a plus but are not required.

SPHR/PHR or CP/SCP Certification preferred.
