Summary:Manager, ERP Systems (Finance) is a Systems and Process expert in finance & accounting to support and maintain financial systems in a consultative or functional role. The primary objective of this role is to support the delivery of projects that implement, enhance, or support financial systems in the Record to Report and Order to Cash process cycles. Candidate must be based in DFW metroplex.An individual in this role has experience working with cross functional teams including accounting and finance and has the process experience and process improvement knowledge necessary to independently solve complex financial system problems by accurately identifying root causes and implementing leading practice solutions.This is a hands-on role that is responsible for system configuration changes and testing. The manager will be accountable for the results of assigned projects and workstreams that focus on delivering process redesign and automation initiatives.Job Responsibilities includes:- Plan and manage the implementation, enhancements, and support of ERP financial systems
- Develop, plan, and execute testing strategies and scenarios
- Work closely with finance functional owners to plan and manage the design, testing and implementation of the financial systems supporting general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, costing, and inventory valuation
- Make key decisions on setup of system ensuring that all functionality and internal controls are incorporated
- Develop and document new finance system procedures and identify areas where training is needed working closely with finance functional owners
- Develop training plan and deliver training to functional users ensuring effective utilization of financial systems functionality
- Manage the conversion of data to financial systems and reconcile to ensure data integrity
- Coordinate and lead system-related projects and initiatives such as, new system functionality and/or new technologies, working closely with technical staff
- Manage and execute the ERP roadmap and continued assessment of financial applications throughout the organization
- Understand current state finance system and business processes, identify gaps, propose improvements, and evaluate solution alternatives
- Research finance best practices to identify and implement capabilities that drive optimization of processes and automation through financial systems technology including existing and emerging technologies
- Work closely with leadership to define priorities, direction, and timelines
- Provide inputs into resource plans, budgets, tracking and forecasting
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science
- Project management experience in full-life cycle projects involving integrations between SAP and other systems
- At least 2 full life cycle implementations in SAP
- Ability to run Workshops with different user groups
- 4+ years of experience in financial transformation roles
- 4+ years' experience with costing and inventory valuations
- Professional demeanor and appearance are required for interaction with associates of all levels across the organization
- Proficient in building consensus among groups
- Proficient in gathering requirements and create documents and procedures
- Proficient in problem solving and decision-making
- Basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and other control objectives
- Detail oriented, organized critical thinker with strong analytical skills
- Ability to influence others regarding policies and procedures including the ability to explore alternatives to reach amicable outcomes accepted by all parties
- Experience interacting with global teams
- Experience supporting financial systems and hands-on system configuration changes
- Experience effectively gathering and communicating requirements to software engineering teams
- CPA/CA/MBA
- SAP S4/HANA certification (Nice to have)
- Consulting experience in SAP ERP as solutions architect
- 10+ yrs. experience in Accounting/Finance functional role in SAP
- 7+ yrs. experience hands-on configuration of SAP finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, CO-PA, FI-AA, CO-PC, CCA, PCA)
- Experience with reviewing and reprocessing IDocs
- Good understanding GAAP and IFRS principles and applications
- Expert understanding of enterprise business process integrations and workflows
