Position Description:Performs an advanced level of work related to inspecting and locating company pipelines.Locate and mark company pipelinesHard locates and trouble shoot, in which a contractor cannot locate gas line facilities.Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair line location tools and equipment.Drive and maintain company vehicle.Consult with plumbers, other utilities' personnel, customers, contractors, other company employees and others regarding line location.Complete and/or update reports including but not limited to:One-Call and work logsReports on exaction activity reportReturn Locates Audit formsOperator Qualification documentsEquipment maintenance reportsMileage reportsTime sheetsRegular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.Position Requirements:Working knowledge of line locating and One-Call procedures.Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of applicable tools and equipment.Demonstrated ability with application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).Experience and training relative to company and governmental operating/safety procedures.Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations.Experience and knowledge in basic computer functions and relevant software.Experience reading and interpreting maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, diagrams, dials, gauges, work logs, job orders, and applicable operation and repair manuals.Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.Experience navigating through computer web base customer portals.Minimum Applicable driver's license.Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 50 60 times a day; up to 20 pounds 3 5 times a day.Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:MudGravelSandRocksIceSnowWalk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.Push spud bar in ground and extract.Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.Able to operate tools and equipment required.Emergency call-out Locate gas line on emergency situations.Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of company communication devices.Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.Peripheral vision.#fieldoperationsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
