Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Hereford, TX or St. Louis, MO

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description: In partnership with our Merrick Brand in Amarillo, Texas, we have an exciting opportunity for a Self-starting high-performer with IT experience and a focus on business analytics. Your primary goal will be to partner collaboratively with our team at Merrick and will identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues, develop new visualizations and analytic reporting solutions that will be used as a competitive advantage in accelerating client growth and enabling the day-to-day operations of our business. In addition, you'll be working and collaborating daily with external IT Partners and service providers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Goals and Objectives:
  • Responsibility to sustain and develop the Merrick team's analytics capability and solutions toolkit to deliver deeper, more actionable insights more quickly
  • Improve the efficiency of gathering insights as well as the overall quality of insights.
  • Work as an extended member of "thehive" clients internal Data and Analytics group
  • Resolve technical issues and troubleshooting of problems with analytics and data solutions
  • Analyze, connect and leverage data within the Merrick and client ecosystem to meet new business requirements
  • Integrate data from local and cloud data sources to drive better analytics solutions and reporting results

Responsibilities Include:
  • 85% Lead the functional maintenance and process management of all existing solutions.
  • Access and connect to data from a variety of systems using Power BI
  • Diagnose functional issues to a root cause and resolve together with partner technical resources as needed.
  • Lead technology projects through to completion by developing and managing your time and deliverables to meet business requirements and timelines
  • Develop design diagrams, testing/debugging and systems configuration.
  • Oversee and support the initial implementation and ongoing troubleshooting for new solutions.
  • Creation and management of ongoing reporting solutions
  • Manage and oversee training and support for existing tools
    • 15% Internal and External Coordination
  • Identify, document and share best practices for technical solutions across client teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal client resources within "thehive" in order to stay aligned with the overarching client Data and Analytics strategies
  • Maintain working relationships with team members, internal partners, customers and others using good interpersonal skills.
  • Supports role development through active participation in share sessions, meetings and trainings

    • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

    Experience (Years/Type):
    • 3+ years of experience in IT/business analytics

    Skills:
    • Strong proficiency with Power BI required
    • Proficiency with Data query languages (Such as SQL, DAX, MDX) is required
    • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics data is strongly preferred
    • Basic understanding of Agile and CI/CD DevOps principles is preferred
    • Strong technical skills in the area of database and information technology Data warehousing and analytics modeling experience strongly preferred (JET, SQL DW, etc.)
    • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills would be a plus
