The purpose of the Associate Engineer - SQL Developer is to support Wolters Kluwer Lien Solutions billing operations and manage the end-to-end billing process to ensure that customers are billed correctly. In this role you are responsible for analyzing, developing and maintaining solutions for the billing eco-system, including SQL scripts, stored procedures and .NET applications.This position works with all WKLS business functions and is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate team leadership!Essential Duties and responsibilities- Run billing operations and manage the end-to-end process of daily, weekly and month-end billings
- Analyze, develop and maintain solutions to the billing eco-system, including SQL scripts, stored procedures and .NET applications
- Support invoicing team in strategic project planning
- Participate in invoicing team's backlog grooming and create functional and technical documentation
- Create SQL scripts to generate financial reports from Oracle and SQL Server databases and support financial analysis and reporting
- Provide after-hour support as needed
- BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of billing solutions analyst or related experience
- Detail-oriented and enjoy working in an environment with multiple systems, processes and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance
- In-depth understanding of relational databases and proficient in writing SQL
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
- Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with SQL tools such as TOAD, PLSQL Developer, SQL Plus
- Basic programming experience using Microsoft .NET technology
- Experience of financial analysis and reporting
- Creative problem solver, collaborator, and effective communicator
- Experience of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred
- Experience with complex data analysis tools preferred
