As an Embedded System Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Develop embedded systems software including low level drivers and higher-level architecture for measurement and control applications
  • Work closely with system architects to design, develop and evaluate embedded systems platforms such as surface and downhole processor boards, including the required digital interfaces
    • Define specifications of modular platforms with Product Lines stakeholder
    • Design and implement the firmware according to the requirements and specifications
    • Manual and automated functional and integration testing
    • Commercial documentation release

To be successful in this role you will have:

Essential Requirements & Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Embedded systems software design and development skills with experience in C, C, and assembly languages.
  • Experience with RTOS, preemptive and multi-tasking / DSP environments,algorithm design and data analysis in MATLAB and/or Python
  • Experience in digital and embedded systems design including bootloaders, data acquisition, signal processing techniques and data aggregation layers
  • Experience with microprocessors, DSPs, DAC, ADC, and associated interface requirements
  • Experience with FPGA architecture, simulation, programing, verification testing and validation for high-temperature environments
  • Experience with communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, UART, I2C
  • Experience with reading and understanding of electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications
  • Modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools
  • Experience with communications systems including compression, error correction and encoding
  • Control systems design and analysis
  • Experience on platforms from suppliers such as TI, ADI, Altera, and Xilinx
  • Advanced signal processing techniques including Basian, Statistical and Multirate systems
  • Domain knowledge and experience in reliability- and failure analysis on components and subassemblies
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing / production and testing methods for embedded systems

Location: this job is currently remote but the individual will need to be in either Houston, TX area, Claremore, OK or near Celle, Germany for occasional in-office meetings. Relocation may be provided for the successful candidate. You must be work authorized without need for visa sponsorship in the country in order to be eligible.
