Global Quality Specialist/Engineer

Responsibilities

The Quality Specialist/Quality Engineer assures consistent quality of production & QA systems by developing and enforcing reporting metrics and driving improvement; developing suppliers through audits, surveys, validating processes, performance metrics and performance improvement plans; ensuring Customer satisfaction by ensuring Customer concerns are promptly addressed.

Position Functions

Monitors QA performance globally on a monthly basis, developing necessary summaries or reports using Microsoft-Excel/Word, Power BI and CRM for Executive reviews

Customer Liaison for resolving external quality issues

Develops Suppliers resolving QA issues and tracks performance improvement plans

Reviews quality assurance reports with local champions of global locations; providing feedback on areas of success and improvement

Conducts meetings to communicate changes in process, key performance indicators

Delivers global training, as required

Responsible for identifying individual and team training needs, application and assessing effectiveness of training

Completes, maintains and processes paperwork related to Nonconformances, Corrective Action, KPIs

Respond to Customer, Suppliers, team members and other inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Works collaboratively with peers and senior management to support Strategic initiatives

Conducts QA audits and surveys on suppliers and Bray locations worldwide

Achieves quality assurance Global Operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; ensuring that Âproduction, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards are implemented; identifying and resolving issues; completing audits; maintaining the quality system and ensuring corrective action is taken; determining system improvements & opportunity for continuous improvement; implementing change.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership & accountability for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, capability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.

Attend Global Management Reviews at least annually to ensure trends are addressed

Education & Experience

Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree or 10 years work experience in similar position demonstrating skills and duties required above supplemented with certificates and training courses.

Knowledge and training in ISO9000, ASME codes, PED.

Lead Auditor certification and Nuclear code knowledge is beneficial, not required.
