Contract Length: 07/12/2021 to 01/11/2022 with a possibility of extension up to 1 year Pay: $Flexible (W-2) Job Profile Summary: Our Client's Digital Science and Engineering (DS&E) team has a Blockchain Developer opening. If you have experience in building decentralized applications, we are excited to have you. Role Synopsis: The Blockchain Developer will play a critical role in our client's blockchain proofs of concepts. A successful candidate will thrive in an environment that necessitates creativity and collaboration with an abundance of resources and use cases. As part of the Digital Science and Engineering team, the Blockchain Developer will benefit from the ability to build for the future in anticipation of technology evolution that the DS&E finds value in exploring. We are looking for developers to build internal applications as well as collaborate with third party vendors. The developer has the opportunity to work in collaboration with our client's internal Design team to craft best in class user experiences for both retail and enterprise users. Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the DS&E team to design proof of concepts
  • Work alongside colleagues to understand use cases and new business models
  • Implement the smart contract design for proof of concepts
  • Collaborate with third party vendors and the client's Design team in the building of decentralized applications
Essential Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
Essential Experience & Job Requirements
  • 5+ years developer experience
  • Strong knowledge of Javascript
  • Experience in Solidity (will consider similar smart contract languages) - Must have
  • Public blockchain network deployment (2+ years) - Must have
  • Familiarity with web3.js/ether.js
  • Experience with preparing for smart contract security audits (as a developer)
  • Familiarity with Git or similar tools
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to prioritize and manage questions from stakeholders
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in or a desire to learn a high(er) level zero knowledge languages to facilitate scaling and/or privacy in decentralized applications (such as Zokrates, Circom, Cairo, Zinc, Noir, snarkyJS or equivalent) - highly desirable
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of decentralize finance protocols
  • Experience with Webflow
  • Experience in building cryptocurrency to fiat currency "offramps"
