Creation of authentic stories to inspire on a variety of technologies, as well as providing robust engineering feedback on Azure and developer tooling based on faculty and student feedback. Learn more here: www.aka.ms/meettheteam .ResponsibilitiesAs an academic cloud advocate, you are expected to lead the way, you create content and model your behavior and, coach other advocates and ambassadors.

Create content, blog posts, videos, presentations, tutorials, and code samples for audiences of varying experience levels demonstrating Visual Studio Code toolsets, GitHub, Container utilization, Jupyter notebook configuration and general use, Azure SDKs, APIs.

Champion relevant Azure, GitHub and Visual Studio Code products and services within the academic community at conferences, meetups, hackathons, forums, and on social media.

Network and build relationships and empower Microsoft Student Ambassadors to work with the students' communities and demonstrate and promote tools and services from Microsoft used for Software solution development advanced experiencein developer languages most relevant to the student audience (Python, JavaScript, Java) in an authentic way.

Build relationships and help promote and foster related communities. Collect and prioritize product feedback and technical blockers with engineering and product teams.

Work with internal product teams to provide relevant and actionable feedback from the perspective of a Software Solutions Architect, adhering to best practices, tools, and techniques.

Win the hearts and minds of academic community members by building and/or contributing to key Open Source, curricula, projects and building cool, useful, or productive apps or experiences.

Use data, experiments, and student and educator product feedback to improve the effectiveness of our services tools and interactions

Language fluency in English plus the primary language for the geographic location of this role

Travel may be required depending on where local and national developer events are held

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:2+yearsof experience inapplication architecture or solution design.

2+ years of experience in Visual Studio Code toolsets, GitHub, Container utilization, Jupyter notebook configuration and general use, Azure SDKs or APIs.

2+ years of experience with software solution developer languages most relevant to the student audience (Python, JavaScript, Java).

Preferred Qualifications:Experience of working with academic communities ideally including students and educators.

Solid communication skills - ability to be both a strong technical writer as well as a dynamic public speaker.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
