- Create and communicate cost and time estimates for installation/set-up of a technologies in non-production environment and any other terms & conditions applicable for the technology
- Analyze and coordinate/fulfil multiple concurrent requests for physical infrastructure/Azure IaaS/PaaS services
- Partner with lead researchers on the installation/deployment of technologies
- Provide support and maintenance for test environments (applications & infrastructure)
- Decommissioning resources at the conclusion of the projects
- Provide gap assessment documents for architecture, IRM, cyber-security etc. to lead researchers to feed into PoC results to help determine if the technology is a good fit for Chevron’s technology landscape
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
- Maintain standards and guidelines to guide the use, configuration and testing of software being evaluated
- Strong critical thinking skills, particularly situational awareness, ability to develop and execute recommendations and execute them
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Strong knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc.
- Proven technical collaboration skills, e.g. the ability to collaborate with other SMEs to address design, operational and security initiatives across functional boundaries, e.g. organizations and functions…
- Associate's degree in computer programming or a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 8-10 years’ experience architecting, developing, and supporting enterprise solutions required.
- 4+ years’ Azure experience building and deploying applications/solutions through ADO pipeline and manually.
- Experience building and deploying IaaS, PaaS and applications/solutions in Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform a plus
- Position will start/be remote for the time being, candidates from Houston, TX required.
