Job Title Sr. Business Analyst Relevant Experience (in Yrs) 10 - 15 years Technical/Functional Skills Requirement gathering, analysis in Operational Technology (OT) systems, SCADA, Control Systems for Control Centre Operations of a Pipeline industry, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) Experience Required Oil and Gas midstream / pipeline or equivalent experience is required Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute requirements gathering functional and non-functional (high-level and then detail), classify / prioritize requirements
- Plan and conducting meetings with IT and OT SMEs, capture current state, gap analysis from desired state, make recommendations and presentations findings
- Conduct reviews of business processes and identify optimization opportunities strategies
- Analyze existing architecture for SCADA/DCS and other control system needs, reviews new applications, programs, and their impact on operations
- Understanding of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD). Perform FMEA, risk-based reliability assessment (RBD) to assess low reliability areas
- Measure current state system availability (familiar with concepts of Mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR)
- Identify and recommend areas of architectural improvements in Techstack (Hardware, software, applications, and network infrastructure customer calls this, collectively, the "Tech Stacks") based on FMEA and RBD
- Create and deliver project documentation as required by PMO including To-be state IT architecture for improved system reliability and availability
- Establish and manage Traceability Matrices to enable future monitoring if requirements have been met.
- Assist the project manager to create and execute project plans including: work breakdown structures (WBS) Gantt charts and similar, schedules, resource plans, communication and stakeholder management plans, procurement plans, quality plans, integration plans, burn-rate plans, risk management plans, etc.
- Work with the project manager to establish and manage advisory/governance groups as needed to support successful delivery of the Work Packages.
- Use experience and judgement to identify and remove roadblocks.
- Create high-level roadmap supported with execution strategies, transition-to-operations plans, materials etc.
- A university degree in an applicable discipline electrical engineering, systems engineering, reliability engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or equivalent industry experience and certifications.
- Experience with Operational Technology systems, SCADA, Control Systems etc. relevant to Techstack mentioned in previous section
- Experience working in an information technology environment.
- Experience working with multiple teams and projects across a large-scale enterprise.
- Effective communication with multiple teams and across the hierarchy
- Excellent communication, presentation skills (written, oral), command over MS Visio and MS Office suite
