Quality Assurance The Quality Assurance Business Analyst role is to analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, be they customers or end users. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverable are met according to specifications. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring IMS understanding of business requirements. This position is remote eligible What You Will Do :
  • Collaborates with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Conducts interviews with multiple stakeholders to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods, to gather project requirements and develop use case documentation.
  • Lead key quality activities like requirements gathering, requirement documentation, test case creation, and requirements traceability.
  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Work with the business team to address questions and/or concerns during User Acceptance Testing so that releases are done in a timely manner .
  • Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Works with project managers to manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and redefines as necessary.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements- verbally or through written documentation - to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • What You Will Need : Education & Experience:
    • Minimum of two (2) years previous work-related experience in the aforementioned tasks
    • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent, from an accredited university, in business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems or equivalent industry experience is preferred
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, verification, and methodology development.
  • Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
  • Experience with software applications processes and SDLC
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct testing and QA based on requirements definitions
  • Reporting Relationships : Reports directly to an IMS Manager and the Director of PMO.
