Business Data Analyst with Insurance Domain Houston, TX Long Term Contract Roles & Responsibilities: The Business Data analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirement & technical specifications related to designing and implementing the reporting and analytics architectures. The BDA formulates objectives based on both user and technical needs and obtains a good understanding of applicable business systems, data warehousing concepts, usability concepts, and industry requirements. Plays a user facing, combined functional and technical role in analytics, application development, and data integration by working collaboratively with business units and technical teams. Obtain and understand business requirements and ensure those requirements are adhered to Insurance Data Architecture. Co-ordinate with Customer and technical team. Good understanding of data management domain & able to handle small project if required. Key skills and experience Must 10+ years of IT experience in business solution, requirement gathering, gap analysis, use case creation At least 5+ years demonstrated expertise in BDA work for Insurance industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with general direction Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements Ability to establish and achieve goals and maintain time lines Knowledge of writing SQL. Knowledge of at least one Database, ETL and BI tool. Able to quickly adapt the business domain understanding. Highlighting Risks and issues that could impact project delivery Exposure to Data Modelling Overview is sufficient, not a must Ability to effectively function in a cross team's environment Exposure to any cloud platform.
