Our client, a global investment management company, is seeking to hire a

Cloud Engineer for a

Full-time position.

The candidate needs to be living in the

Houston area for this

Hybrid role, willing to commute to the office 2-3 days/week. As a Cloud Engineer, you will expect to have an engineering mindset, open to learning new Cloud technologies, to be part of an Agile, Global development team. You will be working on a Global Cloud project which is changing the way the company delivers software. As a member of the team, you'll develop and manage a highly critical Cloud Automation Platform and help adopt new and cutting-edge Cloud Services.

THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Become a cloud expert (if you're not one already!)
  • Design, develop, and test new cloud capabilities and enhance existing ones
  • Work on cutting edge technologies
  • Innovate, simplify, and automate
  • Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide support for AWS and our CI/CD pipeline in the AMER region
  • Help architect applications migrating to the cloud
  • Write technical documentation and create demos
  • Support Cloud Security
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities
  • Embrace DevOps culture
  • Develop new skills and your career
  • Help improve UI experience

THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE ROLE:
  • 3+ years of software development, with a focus on

    back-end solutions
  • Strong software development skills in one or more of the following languages:

    Java, Ruby, C, Node.js
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Design and implementation of critical systems that offer optimal User Experience and efficiency
  • Experience with

    Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Test Driven Development and Automated Testing
  • DevOps mindset, with a passion for automation and innovation
  • Good problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Experience with

    Kubernetes, Splunk, Jira, Confluence
  • Understanding of security, networking, infrastructure, and operating systems will be advantageous
