Role overview

The Compensation Manager reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation will be responsible for analyzing Accolade’s compensation structures. This role will be a key contributor in the development and implementation of compensation strategies, focusing on our compensation programs. The Compensation Manager will evaluate our compensation packages by analyzing employees’ experience and responsibilities, by doing comparative analysis by region, and by taking the company's financial performance into consideration. The Compensation Manager will establish compensation structures for our hourly Frontline Care Team.

A day in the life…

  • Grow and oversee Accolade’s hourly remuneration policies and programs for our Frontline Care Team.
  • Analyze jobs and their respective duties to ascertain the scope of employee responsibilities and requirements.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions.
  • Participate in the research for, and ongoing development and administration of, a compensation program that matches Accolade’s needs.
  • Ensure consistent, equitable, and market competitive application of Accolade’s compensation philosophy while balancing unique regional regulations and practices.
  • Work with large amounts of data to build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics; streamline processes and monitor the integrity and validity of the data reported.
  • Develop compensation models and conduct statistical analysis.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and build intelligence through reporting.
  • Participate in and gather data from market-based compensation surveys to help set Accolade’s market position and assess market trends.
  • Benchmark company jobs against compensation survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive positioning of Accolade’s compensation programs.
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing minimum wage, exemption tests, and compensation-related issues.
  • Advise Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and People Leaders on compensation guidelines and processes; collaboratively work to resolve compensation-related issues.

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field of study.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills are required to analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models and reports; ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making.
  • Experience building compensation systems, managing projects, and scaling processes with company growth.
  • Experience participating in and analysis of compensation surveys.
  • Experience with HR tools (including Workday and MarketPay) is preferred.
  • 3+ years of work experience as a Compensation Manager.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with compensation research and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
