HI Role :: Data Analyst Houston,TX(Remote) COntract Job Description: The Data Analyst gathers, analyses, models and profiles data to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights and clear requirements to accelerate data engineering and data architecture deliverables by closely collaborating with product managers, data scientists and data engineers and delivery architects. Develops fine grained requirements from high level ones by discovering, wrangling, analyzing various data sets originating in databases, REST APIs, spreadsheets or other sources. Key skills/competencies Experience with SQL-based technologies (e.g. MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) Experience with Python, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks data wrangling and visualizations Accountable for delivering Health and Environment reporting and data analysis for Power Digital Core. Build dashboard for carbon and any source of energy that has potential to harm people and environment Experience in creating reports, and data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau or any reporting tool. Strong knowledge in linear regression analysis, longitudinal analysis, and logistic regression analysis, and statistical modelling and data visualization Experience in working with Data Scientists on exploratory data analysis Working knowledge in decarbonization and Health data Strong experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets, developing new forecasting models, and performing quality checks and data management tasks Experience in data profiling and data quality management Advance the analytical capabilities of the business, collaborate in the design of diagnostic solutions, and deliver outstanding data insights and products Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations. Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options. Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the bottlenecks and identify opportunities for improvement. Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle. Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to final solution. Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing. Create and present compelling business cases to justify solution value and establish approval, funding and prioritization. Execute Data Analysis activities on projects within agreed parameters of cost, time and quality. Understand and stay abreast of relevant architectures and technologies related to a business area. Support stakeholder management activities including facilitation of large design sessions. Desirable: Experience working in Agile project Delivery Experience working in geographically distributed teams Experience creating marketing collateral and case studies Typical Years of Experience: 1 - 2 years in a data and analytics Personal Attributes: Team player and able to collaborate, proactively communicates and shares understanding and experience within a team Comfortable talking to business users, product managers, data engineers, data scientists and can translate business needs into tangible technical data requirements Clear communicator and able to work in a multicultural environment Uses best practice analysis techniques but can change approach according to conflicting timelines/risks involved Uses initiative and owns their deliverables end-to-end Brings ideas to the table, is inquisitive and excited by new technology Used to working in a flexible, independent manner on a mixture of small unstructured and large structured item Assignment Length: 2 4 years Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
