EBS UI/UX Developer
Position Description The purpose of this role is to provide software technology & product delivery across the entire application lifecycle management including design, develop, configure, test and deployment of relevant applications (Organization or 3rd party) within Organization Proactive Technical Monitoring application portfolio. The UI/UX Developer executes the software engineering methodology to deliver incremental releases (e.g. Agile, Scrum) which include product enhancements and fixes according to the roadmaps that are agreed with the Technology Manager and key business user communities. Key applications in this portfolio are geared towards asset and equipment Surveillance and Monitoring. These systems are typically deployed across most Upstream and Downstream facilities at Organization.This role is based in Houston, Texas.Your future duties and responsibilities FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:• Be part of a team developing both enterprise web and mobile applications using C# .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and GitHub.• Contribute to a diverse, globally distributed (not co-located) SCRUM development team• Create style guides and design attractive user interfaces for both web based and mobile applications• Design and develop functional product enhancements and bug fixes through incremental development and delivery of releases for applications, according to an agreed roadmap• Deliver on assigned PBI's (Product Backlog items) with proper software quality assurance on several code metrics (e.g. Cyclomatic & Cognitive complexity, Maintainability Index, Unit test coverage >80%; PBI rework)• Although this is a fully hands-on role as you will have to deliver small enhancements single-handedly, this will also stretch your team management skills by working and supporting a team to achieve sprint goals and deliver quality results.• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are required for engagement with various global business stakeholders. You must be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts in an easy to understand manner.• You must possess strong relationship/stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a culturally diverse organization.• You should be proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving project deadlines. You must take ownership of actions and follow through on commitments to completion by agreed due dates.• You should be able to work both independently and as part of a larger project team and demonstrable the ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage workloads in a continuous changing and dynamic environment.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• 7 years to 12 years of IT Experience• 5+ years in UI/UX design, with direct experience working effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces for clientso J Query, Kendo UI, MVVM, Typescript, Node.JS, CSS/HTML, REST Ful APIs.o General knowledge of OAUTH/OpenID, TestFlight• Experience working on a virtual, distributed SCRUM development team• Experience translating requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups• Experience creating style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces• A deep understanding of responsive design, user-centered design and design thinking• Experience designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components for both web and mobile applications• Experience designing, transforming and improving the user interface for established global applications already in use• Strong working knowledge of design software, including Figma• Experience in object-oriented software development using C#, Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Microsoft DevOps, Kendo UI would be considered an asset• Experience in iOS development (Swift, Xcode) with proficiency in building mobile apps would be considered an asset• Experience developing user interfaces for applications with a user base targeted to a technical discipline (engineers) would be considered an asset• Experience designing and developing applications for the Oil and Gas or Energy sectors would be considered an asset.• Knowledge in graphic design or marketing.#LI-SG2Insights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
