RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Full Stack API Engineer in support of our industry leading technology development client in Houston, Texas (TX). Our client is seeking candidates who are driven to make positive changes to the way people live and work by creating breakthrough technology solutions.

Summary:A Full Stack API Engineer at this position, builds API and data services that are configurable and scalable with the data lake and data caches that support customer facing e-Commerce systems. They partner with technical teams including data lake, infrastructure/data platform systems, as well as produce direct user-facing API Services. Core skills include designing and building config-driven and scalable distributed systems and data APIs.

Responsibilities: Full Stack API Engineer will design, build, and maintain large-scale services, job pipelines, real-time services, and systems integrations Work cross-functionally with many teams: customer e-Commerce (as-a-Service), common cloud services, data analytics, API, container, and Kubernetes platforms Build mission critical system integrations critical to as-a-Service future operation Design, Build, Debug and Test data caching layer to support fast APIs As a Full Stack API Engineer, you will prepare and architect systems using technologies public cloud and on-prem Build big data consumption layer to support and the data services Implement service catalog, and service monitoring

REQUIREMENTS: Technical Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years related experience 10 years of experience in APIs and Data Integrations 6+ years of configuring and tuning high-volume ecommerce services 5+ years of experience in Full Stack development using any modern web technology stack Extensive experience designing and developing mission critical highly scalable microservices and APIs with SQL, Data Cache, No SQL, Python, and Java Knowledge of API design standards, patterns, and best-practices especially swagger and OpenAPI Experience with API management platforms like MuleSoft, Apigee Experience with Docker and containerization technologies Experience with of On prem and AWS or other Cloud technologies Experience working in test driven development and Agile methodologies Experience with automating service quality, service monitoring, and service catalog Experience of large volume data sets, Hive/Presto, and data visualization tools Experience of multiple full release cycles, CI/CD
