The position will report to Flowserve’s Director of Global Project Management and act as the subject matter expert regarding Risk Management.Responsibilities

Designing and implementing an overall risk management philosophy for our organization, while developing a culture of risk thinking throughout.

Aligning risk practices and processes with the Flowserve Project Delivery System.

Ability to dissect and analyze Flowserve’s business to implement a process that is sustainable.

Train the organization in understanding how to collect information for probabilistic cost and schedule risk analyses, challenging key assumptions and uncertainties, and assist in developing and updating the inputs.

Design process to communicate with project teams, customers and functional teams to capture, analyze, and collate risk information such as risk rankings, mitigation activities, action plans and inter-dependencies.

Implement the use of value improving practices and Lessons Learned.

Develop training and train personnel within the various departments of the project organization in the fundamentals of Project Risk Management and risk management tools.

Build confidence within the organization in using risk techniques as an integral part of the project management process.

Drive the development of Risk Management KPIs and document performance in collaboration with regional project teams and functional managers in alignment with our Project Delivery System requirements and customer expectations.

Position Requirements:Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or other technical discipline.

MBA and professional certifications a plus.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in supporting and managing international projects with significant exposure to the risk management function that includes risk identification, assessment and analysis; mitigations strategies.

Knowledge of capital projects execution, EPC projects, or other engineer to order project organizations

Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Strong leadership experience with demonstrated history of managing teams and implementing organizational change and communicating with senior and executive management.

Strong organizational and research skills with some familiarity with audit standards, procedures and techniques.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, writing and oral presentation skills in English are a must.

Strong presentation and communications skills to effectively coordinate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent organizational and cross-cultural skills

Demonstrated ability to prioritize

Ability to work independently to design and implement business processes
