Qualified candidates should send an updated, Word version of their resume to Cara Mason at Hyperion HFM Analyst Direct Hire - Houston, TX 77002Job Description:This person will work effectively under minimal supervision and provide technical support for developing and supporting HFM and Hyperion Planning. This position will support our business users, participate in all relevant change management activities, and overall service delivery and customer satisfaction. This will require interaction with core business users and the need to work as a team member of a Hyperion support team. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide system administration for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) applications
  • Provide end user support, troubleshooting, and training
  • Maintain HFM batch load processes for loading and consolidating data into HFM applications
  • Implement HFM system changes, including metadata updates, HFM rules updates, report updates, etc.
  • Maintain consolidated data for actuals to ensure data integrity to support the business, and to ensure data consistency between applications and environments
  • Maintains and troubleshoots core Hyperion Planning applications
  • Acts as a primary liaison to the finance planners who use the system for corporate planning, and support the annual budgeting procedures
  • Maintain proper system documentation and controls on system changes, user security updates, system functionality and procedures
  • Apply critical patches to Hyperion systems on the server
  • Contribute to other Hyperion, Consolidation, and FP&A initiatives as assigned.
  • Tracking deliverable and provide reporting to management as needed
  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years Information Systems experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands on technical experience with Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management suite of products.
  • Solid Experience in Analysis, Development, and Maintenance of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) 11.1.2.4 or higher versions, Development and Deployment of Hyperion Planning/Essbase 11.1.2.4 or higher versions, FDMEE, Financial Reports, Smart View, Data Relationship Management (DRM) and Oracle Data Integrator.
  • Strong technical skills including writing HFM rules, financial studio reports.
  • Strong technical skills including writing/creating calculation scripts, business rules, MAXL automation scripts, load rules, web forms, financial reports.
  • Functional understanding of Finance, and Planning & Budgeting
  • Experience in installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new Hyperion Planning applications
  • Understanding of IT Security concepts (Access Controls, Change Management, etc.)
  • Functional understanding of Accounting, and Finance, understanding of the B/S and P&L
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the Incident Response life-cycle, working independently to investigate and root cause incidents
  • Knowledge or SQL Server database and SQL language a plus
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages
  • Solid experience using MS Office with an expert level in Excel.
  • VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) knowledge for Excel to automate HFM data retrievals and automate Essbase retrievals
  • Knowledge of software design, documentation, testing, and maintenance
  • Experience accessing Oracle Support to submit service requests, troubleshooting incidents, etc.
