Infra Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Must have experience in Datacenter migration project for Linux based web and application servers
  • Design and develop automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning and re-provisioning
  • Primarily on deploying, migrating, configuring and managing applications in VMware environment and cloud environment
  • Coordinate, collaborate and partner with Product development teams to drive adoption of best practices and to gather and analyze requirements for enterprise tools
  • Analyze and evaluate various engineering approaches to software delivery automation, explore alternative approaches for continuous improvement and to execute experiments and pilots
  • Build engineering solutions for collaborating with contributing into Corporate Technology tools dealing with all aspects of Software Delivery

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field of study/equivalent experience. Graduate level engineering degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in developing enterprise solutions in public/private cloud. Experience with cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies. Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Network Engineering (planning, provision), Design (compliance, security) and Linux administration.
  • Experience in AWS Migration knowledge for Apache web applications.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform/AWS Cloud formation/Google Deployment Manager or anything similar is desirable. CI/CD experience desirable.
  • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python and Java
  • Experience with distributed databases, NoSQL and performance tuning.
  • Experience with technologies as Docker, Kubernetes or Container Oriented Infrastructure
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible or Chef or Puppet)
  • Hands on to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience building high-volume and resilient application(s)
  • Experience with working with Version Control systems like Git and/or deployment repositories like Artifactory.
  • Strong CS fundamentals, data structures & algorithms, networking, and systems
  • Exposure to working in a web-solution environment (with microservice architecture)
  • Proven experience in working in agile delivery teams.
  • Working knowledge of systems monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, NAT, load balancing, caching, compression, application firewalling, reverse proxy, SSL)
  • Knowledge of network technologies is a plus (routing, switching, firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, WAN)
  • Nice to have experience to implementation and Cloud migration Skills AWS/Azure cloud technology
