Infrastructure Project Manager - Houston, TXContract Key Responsibilities:Relying on experience and judgment, the Project Manager is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments.
- Manage projects involving multiple department or cross-functional teams, focusing on both successful integration of technology or implementation of new IT solutions.
- Manage schedules and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and provide escalation management.
- Anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
- Adhere to IT project management methodology within the organization.
- Identify and manage interdependencies between concurrent IT projects.
- Management of project finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
- PMI PMP certified
- Agile certification (Scrum Master, etc.)
- Basic familiarity with ServiceNow or Remedy (not critical)
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects on-time, on-budget in the following areas:
- Cloud Access Management (CAM) tool implementation
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool implementation
- Network Macro / Micro Segmentation design / deployment in a datacenter environment
- Network Access Control (NAC) implementation
- End-Point Management tool implementation
- Project management discipline (looking for STRONG project hygiene)
- Ability to estimate cost, forecast expenditure, track actual cost to budget and calculate estimate to complete, estimate at complete
- Strong communication skills (written, oral)
- Ability to lead and drive team members in maintaining project hygiene
- Ability to drive team through project-based activity, tasking (project team members are operationally focused, need strong leadership to draw focus to project-based workflow, tasking)
- Ability to communicate across all levels of management (from CIO to entry-level staff)
- Ability to develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and build-out in MS Project / ServiceNow
- Ability to lead team in identifying and managing Risks, Issues, Action Items
- Ability to lead team in thinking through complex problems and developing alternatives and recommendations
- Management Discipline
- Ability to manage both upward and downward
- Interest in / ability to provide mentoring to junior team members
- Ability to develop short presentations, status messaging related to project position, activity
- Strong capability in MS productivity suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Teams)
