Java Developer

GDH Consulting has partnered with an energy leader in the Houston, TX area adding to their applications team. We are looking for someone interested in a contract to hire role. This is a full stack developer role that will be working on projects, enhancements, bug fixes, and an assortment of other things. This is a very collaborative environment. Primary languages needed are Java, MS SQL Server, IU technologies and some Tomcat experience with the ability to install software. WebService experience is preferred.

Job Description: Finding innovative solutions is the goal of a Developer III, and you will collaborate with your project team, senior management, and clients to get there. style="box-sizing: inherit;" style="box-sizing: inherit;" Responsibilities/Expectations: style="box-sizing: inherit;" Solve complex problems; take broad perspective to identify innovative solutions style="box-sizing: inherit;" Lead teams or involved in complex projects as required style="box-sizing: inherit;" Analyze and develop short and long-term solutions to information technology (IT) needs style="box-sizing: inherit;" Coordinate with users to determine IT requirements and provide IT services to internal clients style="box-sizing: inherit;" Review system requirements and business processes; code, test, debug and implement software applications style="box-sizing: inherit;" Produce quality functional and technical documentation style="box-sizing: inherit;" Collaborate effectively with clients, project team and senior management to develop solutions that facilitate the integration of business processes style="box-sizing: inherit;" Recommend solutions based on business requirements within an enterprise environment style="box-sizing: inherit;" Provide technical leadership within a wider virtual team, mentors other team members and ensure projects stay on schedule style="box-sizing: inherit;" Other duties as assigned style="box-sizing: inherit;" style="box-sizing: inherit;" Technical Requirements: style="box-sizing: inherit;" 5 - 8 years' of IT experience style="box-sizing: inherit;" Minimum of five (5) year experience programming in Java, Object-Oriented programming concepts and design patterns style="box-sizing: inherit;" Minimum of five (5) year experience programming in browser technologies including HTML5, Angular, Javascript, Jquery, CSS3 style="box-sizing: inherit;" Minimum of five (5) year experience programming in database technologies including MS SQL Server 2008 or higher, or Sybase/ASE style="box-sizing: inherit;" Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority style="box-sizing: inherit;" style="box-sizing: inherit;" Other Requirements: style="box-sizing: inherit;" Work location is Houston, Texas. Remote working is not currently accepted. style="box-sizing: inherit;" style="box-sizing: inherit;" Education/Years' of Experience: style="box-sizing: inherit;" Required: Bachelor's Degree in IT-related field or equivalent experience.
