Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success. This position is remote eligible. What You Will Do :
  • Manage all testing activities for releases across a product line.
  • Define and implement QA processes to optimize and scale testing within the product line
  • Establish and drive the adoption of quality metrics that help measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of product, identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality
  • Manage Test scenarios and execution of test cases across all testing phases (e.g. SIT, Performance, UAT, Load testing, Etc.) for a product line
  • Manage day-to-day activities of test engineers (QEs & SETs) and work with test automation and technical release managers within an agile/scrum environment.
  • Build and review testing architecture and design documentation, drive testing improvements, set quality standards, design, and promote testing best practices
  • Work with product, and engineering teams in implementing & enforcing quality gates at each stage of the pipeline.
  • Hands-on with testing efforts both automated and manual
  • Lead and mentor other QA team members. Guide team on the latest testing trends and tools and strong understanding of testing best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, team spirit, and positive approach.
  • Responsible for providing input to annual and mid-year reviews for other staff members.
  • Develop, build configure, deploy, and support solutions for shared services related to SCM, CI/CD, artifact management, automated testing, monitoring, CI/CD, software releases
  • Provide oversite into all aspects of quality assurance including the establishment of key metrics, Requirements Traceability Matrix, application of industry best practices, and implementation of new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

What You Will Need :

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field with experience in CI/CD process.
  • 6 years of professional development experience in software QA (developing test plans, test cases, and test strategies for software products) and building and leading QA teams
  • 4 years of experience building scalable automated tools, services, and automation techniques, tools.

Professional Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and experience coding test cases (regression, functional, unit, integration, code coverage, performance, end-to-end, etc.) and testing strategies
  • In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. Functional, Usability, Availability, Performance)
  • functionality and non-functional quality attributes (e.g. Availability, Performance)
  • Experience writing test plans and test case
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to influence others to achieve goals and maintain focus on deliverables
  • Should have proficiency in Database query knowledge
  • Experience with automated deployment tools and integration with the DevOps pipeline is a big plus.
  • Experience in Test Driven development framework is a big plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge in all aspects of designing and constructing J2EE systems and developing system requirements and design specifications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Must have exposure to Test management tools, Automation tools, and techniques
  • Good listener and communicator
  • Positive "can-do" attitude, well organized, focused on achieving results cost-effectively
  • Experience using MSSQL Server and MySQL
  • Self-starter with a sense of initiative and perseverance to deliver high-quality work
  • Ability to lead by example
  • The ability to produce quick turnaround and do smart testing in support of hotfix demands as well as operate per a planned schedule
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System
