Specialized expertise across industry sectors

Focuses on MMB Mid Corporate segment portfolio credit management. Independently, or in collaboration with the Relationship Manager, responsible for monitoring, documenting, underwriting, negotiating, executing, and reacting to the credit quality of an assigned portfolio of loans. Typically works with more complex deals, has significant client interaction, and provides recommendations on decisions related to managing the portfolio. This includes synthesizing industry and economic trends and the analysis of the financial performance of individual customers and underwriting of credit products and operating exposures. Works with clients directly to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships. Continuously looks for opportunities for revenue generation and cross-selling products and services. May or may not have revenue generation goals. Manages and promotes the maintenance of a portfolio that adheres to all applicable credit policies and compliance requirements. Responsibilities may also include training, supervision and mentoring of credit analysts, junior relationship managers and junior portfolio managers. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, credit, or portfolio management.

Desired QualificationsExtensive knowledge and understanding of mid corporate banking credits, cash flow analysis, and underwriting guidelines

Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis and communicate findings in a concise manner

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired QualificationsStrong knowledge and understanding of risk management and complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting

Strong knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements for leveraged transactions

Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices

Strong knowledge and understanding of debt and equity capital markets

Strong credit analysis skills of leveraged credits management.

Experience originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions, other credit related products, for critical or complex clients

Job ExpectationsAbility to travel up to 30% of the time
