Job Description

The 80:

  • Build and execute product strategies, plans and strategic roadmaps to grow the business
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external resources/partners to deeply understand Valeron’s core market segments, market forces and value proposition to develop a meaningful strategic marketing plan.
  • Manage current product portfolio to effectively drive growth and profitability
  • Work effectively with internal resources and external customers to develop a robust pipeline of New Products via our Customer Back Innovation framework
  • Using marketing frameworks such as 4 P’s , SWOT, PESTLE etc. to define highly effective marketing strategies and then work in partnership with sales organization to execute strategies to drive above market organic growth
  • Leverage data and analytical tools to drive effective decision making
  • Become a key contributor and owner of the product lines P&L management

Key Deliverables to Demonstrate Success in 12 Months:

  1. Develop full understanding of market dynamics, addressable market size & critical differentiators in both Market Segments
  2. Develop product line strategy and marketing plans necessary to grow sales at appropriate margins to meet Annual Plan objectives
  3. Develop strategic marketing plan and product roadmap necessary to achieve long range plan (3 year) growth objectives

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Needed

  • 5 + years progressive experience in product and marketing management.
  • 3 + years’ experience in product P&L management (direct or indirect).
  • Proven product development experience including successful initiation, management, launch and management of a new product
  • Demonstrated market segmentation experience with success developing long term specific market and product line strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in value chain and channel analysis to successfully identify route to market
  • Demonstrated experience working with a sales organization to successfully develop and execute growth strategies that delivered results
  • Examples of how data, market research and intuition were leveraged to develop a meaningful growth strategy and execution plan
  • Experience working with a structured sales team/process including funnel management and how marketing supports growth
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Math, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Economics (or related)
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing with a strong business to business focus
