We are currently seeking an experienced Python data framework Developer to join our client s team in Houston and work with big data, ML, AI, data sciences, and work on python data framework software design and development. As part of the big data team, you work closely with the engineering domain experts and data scientists needing the right data from your team to help collaboratively solve real-world engineering-related problems using advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence based on Python data frameworks for starters. This person will apply their analytical and technical strengths to this very collaborative python data engineering practice within the organization, especially the engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical) teams needing the data science results to prove engineering achievements.Responsibilities include:Work directly with Business domain experts and Data Scientists to understand the business objective and develop high quality, scalable analytical applications and data productsArchitect and implement frameworks and tools to streamline the machine learning processAutomate manual data tasks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalabilityDevelop data-intensive applications with API's and streaming data pipelinesConvert research-based machine learning models into production-ready softwareCreate, test, and maintain data pipeline architecturesPerform exploratory data analysis and present findings and recommendationsAssist data analysts and data scientists with data extraction, feature engineering, query optimization, and data processingImplement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability Requirements5-6+ years of Python experience, including some python data framework experience.The candidates we seek will have interest in and some experience in most of these:Python Pandas, Numpy, Pytest, and Scikit-Learntesting, packaging, and deploying machine learning modelsdata lake storage formats such as Parquet, Delta Lake, and Apache IcebergDesign Principles and Patterns, Unit Testing, Refactoring, CI/CD, and version controlmodern data platform technologies including Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Distributed File Systems, and Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) Databases, distributed applications, distributed database systemspython data frameworks using Test Driven Development and performing API design / development.
