We are looking for a contract to hire Python Developer.It is a
hyrbid role.1 day per week in the office is required in downtown Houston, TXPay is in the $60 per hour range ($125,000 annually)Job DescriptionAs a Software Developer, you will design, create and support applications that will us to become the best investor, partner, and manager. This senior role focuses on implementing and driving development of the team's work. Handling team questions to bring clarity to implementation details is key for this role in the team. With a future focus, this role should review team work for maintainability and ease of use. Software Developers have the responsibility for championing complex feature development. The software developer role will contribute to the knowledge bank for the application ecosystem. Provide hands on support for the development team during ongoing development efforts. During planning, this role sets task weighing to help with timing estimations during sprint scoping.Responsibilities- Application development for the asset lifecycle, investment performance and account management processes
- Lead team development efforts within a sprint
- Assist with production and development system monitoring
- Requirements gathering with the product owners through mindmapping and other specification techniques
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing software applications in our growing application ecosystem
- Organize and run code deployments during change windows
- Keep up with an ever evolving application environment to help future proof application design
- Communicate with a wide variety of clients, peers, and upper management to work directly with the business
- Help maintain documentation code base during new feature development as well as changes to existing workflows
- Guide and assist team members through development design and challenges
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with python software development in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other related work experience
- Full-stack web development experience - Django preferred
- Responsive HTML / CSS design
