A broad background in quality software development and delivery practices, tools, and processes is required to be successful in this position. Experience with Agile and knowledge of quality is a must. The ideal candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, positive can-do attitude, and able to quickly learn and define the responsibilities of the position. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage all testing activities for releases across a product line.
  • Define and implement QA processes to optimize and scale testing within the product line
  • Manage Test plans, test scenarios, and execution of test cases across all testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Load testing, Etc.) for a product line
  • Develop automation test scripts for test cases
  • Build and review testing architecture and design documentation, drive testing improvements, set quality standards, design, and promote testing best practices
  • Work with product, and engineering teams in implementing & enforcing quality gates at each stage of the pipeline.
  • Hands-on with testing efforts both automated and manual
  • Provide oversite into all aspects of quality assurance including the establishment of key metrics, Requirements Traceability Matrix, application of industry best practices, and implementation of new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Establish and drive the adoption of quality metrics that help measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of product, identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality
  • What You Will Need:

    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field
    • 6 years of professional development experience in software QA (developing test plans, test cases, and test strategies for software products), writing test plans and test cases
    • 4 years of experience building scalable automated testing tools, services, and automation techniques, scripting

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong understanding and experience coding test cases (regression, functional, unit, integration, code coverage, performance, end-to-end, etc.) and testing strategies
    • In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. Functional, Usability, Availability, Performance)
    • Experience in CI/CD process is a plus.
    • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to influence others to achieve goals and maintain focus on deliverables
    • Should have proficiency in Database query knowledge
    • Experience with automated deployment tools and integration with the DevOps pipeline is a big plus.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, team spirit, and positive can-do approach.
    • Experience in Test Driven development framework is a big plus.

    Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to a Manager, Director, or Executive level position.

    Working Conditions: Work is primarily sedentary; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or, a negligible amount of force frequently, or, constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
