A Security Architect Direct Hire position is available through Ledgent Technology. This role will be responsible for designing and architecting a secured IT infrastructure, preventing cyber-attacks and protecting information integrity. The Architect will improve the security of computer networks and databases, as well as audit entire security systems to identify vulnerabilities in hardware, software, or employee procedures. The Architect will report all findings to management, install any new hardware or software that is necessary, and implement new processes and train employees to be more secure in their everyday computer use.
Principle Accountabilities:Cybersecurity and privacy principles, including Zero Trust and digital badgesRespond, Restore and ReconstructionSpecific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.Local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management.Principles and methods for integrating system components.Define, develop and maintain Information Security (IS) policies, procedures and processesPerform risk assessments as requiredTake ownership of all projects IS relatedSupport audits and investigate any breaches ensuring vulnerabilities are addressedProvide guidance and help to IT delivery teamsCollaborate with IT development teams while working closely in a DevOps and agile development processSupport initial risk assessment process and provide consultancy and guidanceProvide support for automated application security toolOversee effectiveness of controls to ensure compliance with information security policies and standards Requirements: Minimum of 10 years as an expert in systems security administration Experience with Windows Systems Admin and VMWare Knowledge of security platforms like Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Avast, ZScaler, Cisco and Arctic Wolf Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent Strong experience within IT and in particular proven IT Security and/or IT audit or controls experience Experience working in a DevOps environment and experience working with AGILE projects Relevant product knowledge including a demonstrable interest in IT Security We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
