Title: Operations RepresentativeLocation: RemoteDuration: 8+ month contractWork Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or Authorized to Work in the USJOB DESCRIPTIONIndustrial Automation Technology Application SpecialistThe Digital Disposal Operations team is looking for an application specialist with a strong background in industrial automation and SCADA systems. Our goal is to measure, monitor, analyze, and proactively remediate operational issues within our operation technology applications. The realization of this goal involves monitoring, supporting, and deploying SCADA and industrial automation applications in a standardized manner and providing enterprise-level data integration and visibility. Provides technical expertise for software and hardware used to support industrial automation applications. Provides technically advanced and in-depth troubleshooting to readily identify complex or ambiguous problems and/or technical issues and escalates/delegates to appropriate staff for resolution. Provides leadership and direction in developing and implementing Technical Support systems and strategies to achieve business objectives within set deadlinesThe ideal candidate will have a background in deploying and supporting Industrial Automation's Ignition platform at multiple physical locations in an enterprise, and experience leading an effort to provide visibility and to the resulting operational information at an enterprise level. Similar experience with VTScada would be helpful. Candidates with enterprise SCADA deployment experience using other platforms will be considered.The ideal candidate will also have experience addressing the technology challenges associated this type of program. Examples include remote equipment network connectivity, WAN connectivity, and providing a cloud-based data storage, retrieval, analysis, and reporting capability.General DutiesUnder general supervision, oversees the planning, execution, and completion of Technology projects and assumes responsibility for custom software development projects and enhancements to existing software. Works in a matrixed environment and will lead a diverse set of technology resources for the support and management of IA applications.Essential Duties Project Manager:
- Drives and coordinates all project activities including both new implementations as well as support activities for existing installations.
- Provides highly complex functional support of applications, isolates issues and distributes ticket to the appropriate team for resolution.
- Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Delivers technically advanced post-development support.
- Leads in creation and modification of complicated system or application monitors
- Leads and implements Technical Support business initiatives in accordance with Senior and Executive Leadership.
- Presents, communicates, and articulates technically advanced information to all levels of the organization (including technical and non-technical personnel, outside vendors, Senior Leadership and Executive Leadership).
- Experience in a Business Analyst or Software Development role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, mentoring skills
- MS Office tool expertise, with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity considerations for industrial automation implementations
- SQL queries and scripting.
- Document user, support and maintenance procedures.
- Document standardized communications to users and management.
- Customer service skills including conflict resolution.
- Strong communication, technical and interpersonal skills are critical to the role.
