Insight Enterprise is seeking a Senior Hybrid Active Directory/MS O365 Engineer to work onsite with our large enterprise client in Houston, TX.

This is a hybrid role focusing on the design, implementation, performance, health, and reliability of Active Directory and supporting technologies as well as assisting with similar responsibilities across the Microsoft Office 365 suite products. Key success factors are streamlining operations through automation tools and establishing comprehensive proactive monitoring to ensure SLAs and migration deadlines are met.

Duties include Server maintenance, administrative tasks, updating and tracking customer issues using a ticketing system, setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, enterprise monitoring of the following AD platforms: Azure and On-Premises AD, LDAP, LDS, Sites & Services, DNS, DHCP, Certificate authority, PKI, MFA, ADFS, SSO, LDAP. O365 duties will primarily focus on Exchange, Teams, Intune and Azure AD, and the migration of these platforms from 1 tenant to another.

Active Directory
  • Creating, modifying and managing user/computer accounts, security groups, & Group Policy
  • Configures application-specific attributes for Active Directory-enabled/integrated applications, such as Microsoft Exchange.
  • Maintain and configure internal and public DNS.
  • SSL/PKI administration for internal and public.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the 3rd party applications which integrate with Active Directory (Self-Service Password reset etc.)
  • Responsible for adding and removing domain controllers.
  • Configure, manage, & monitor replication.
  • Administer Site and Subnets.
  • Ensuring the proper assignment and configuration of operations master roles.
  • Performing regular backups of the directory database.
  • Performs configuring forest-wide Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) settings.
  • Manages domain and domain controller security policies.
  • Configures directory service parameters, such as setting the functional level of a forest or putting the directory in the special List-Object security mode.
  • Performs Active Directory administration in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops, documents, and maintains policies, procedures and associated training plans for
  • Active Directory and related features/roles and their appropriate use.
  • Creates and maintains a full disaster recovery plan and practice of DCs and core Directory objects.

Office 365 Responsibilities:
  • Exchange administration (users, mailboxes, groups, lists, mail flow, mail relays, provisioning, migrations, etc)
  • Teams' administration (policy creation management, migrations, data management)
  • Tenant administration (user management, initial configuration, migrations, DNS configuration and migration, etc)
  • Azure AD (MFA configuration, conditional access policies, AD sync, migrations, app registrations, SSO)
  • Configuration & Item-Level Targeting, Workstation Configurations, Browser Configuration Settings).
  • Strong knowledge in ADFS administration.
  • Strong knowledge with AD transfer utilities such as Quest Migration Manager.
  • Strong knowledge with O365 tenant transfer tools such as Quest On-Demand.
  • Working knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Working knowledge in AD Management and automation of tasks.
  • Working knowledge in Multi-factor authentication.
  • Working knowledge administering Internal & External DNS & Domain name.
  • Endpoint Manager / Intune administration (device management, conditional access policy, etc)
  • Discovery of all AD and O365 dependencies for M&A companies
  • Planning migration process for on-premises resources as well as cloud resources
  • Coordinate with M&A team to minimize business impact of migrations.
  • Tweak and customize M&A migration tools and processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience or combination of bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years of experience administering a global Active Directory environment and enterprise level monitoring.
  • Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years of experience administering a global Active Directory environment System Maintenance & Tuning (upgrades)
