Senior Project Architect

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Project Architect to join our Buildings + Places business line in Houston or Dallas Texas. As a dynamic team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers we strive to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Design Leadership: Spearhead the design process for projects across commercial, industrial, logistics, and interiors sectors, ensuring innovative and client-focused solutions.Project Coordination: Oversee all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design to construction administration, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders, to integrate architectural and technical solutions.Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.Technical Expertise: Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards, while maintaining a high level of technical accuracy in project documentation.Key CompetenciesLeadership: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical thinker capable of addressing complex design challenges.Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of project delivery.
